Are you curious about cargo bikes but not sure where to start? Looking for a fun and informative way to explore e-bikes, biking with little ones, or even cycling for business? At Dutch Cargo Bike, we’re excited to introduce Ride & Learn Thursdays, a weekly event designed to help people of all ages and abilities discover the joy and practicality of cargo bikes.
Starting in March, we’ll be hosting a rotating series of sessions at our Melbourne location. Whether you’re a parent, a business owner, an older adult, or part of a community group, there’s something for everyone!
What’s Coming Up?
🚲 March 6 & April 3 – Bubs on Bikes 10AM-12PM
Learn the ins and outs of riding with young children, from choosing the right bike to making every journey safe and fun. Plus, we’ll finish with a group ride to a nearby playground!
⚡ March 13 & April 10 – E-Bikes for the Young at Heart 10AM-12PM
Curious about electric bikes? This session is perfect for older adults who want to stay active and mobile. We’ll cover everything you need to know about e-bikes, including how they work and why they’re a great alternative to driving.
🏢 March 20 & April 17 – Bikes for Business 10AM-12PM
From councils using cargo bikes for street cleaning to businesses using them for deliveries and staff transport, this session explores how organisations can integrate e-bikes into their operations. We’ll also touch on leasing options for employees.
♿ March 27 & April 24 – Special Needs Edition 10AM-12PM
Cargo bikes can be a fantastic transport solution for individuals with disabilities or additional mobility needs. This session showcases adaptive options that make cycling accessible for all abilities.
🌿 Every Wednesday, 4–5 PM – Sensory Friendly Hour
We understand that some families prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment when exploring new experiences. Our Sensory Friendly Hour offers a calm space with softer lighting, fewer attendees, and a stress-free introduction to cargo bikes.
